The Book - Short Film

I created this short film individually and recruited course members for my cast. The filming/edit was done during the start of the Coronavirus pandemic so the schedule was cut short suddenly.

My responsibilities for this project were:

- To create and pitch my idea to a board

- To write a script

- To liaise with my cast to create a shooting schedule

- To create a risk assessment and ensure it was being followed

- To loan out equipment and keep it in good condition

- To film every shot and use a microphone for the audio

- To keep a record of every shot with a description

- To edit the footage to make a cohesive narrative

From this project, I learned:

- How to organise equipment loan from the University

- How to pitch an idea

- How to communicate with cast members

- How to schedule filming during uncertain times

- How to edit the footage to make sense when filming was cut short
