Ruthie - Short Film

For this project, I worked within a small team, took on Producer and Editor roles, and starred as the main character.

My responsibilities for this project were:

- To oversee the project from start to end

- To complete all pre-production paperwork

- To liaise with the actors and create call sheets

- To write the script

- To set up the camera and lighting equipment

- To perform in the scenes

- To edit the footage together

From this, I learned:

- How to communicate effectively within a team

- How to organise sound and video files efficiently

- How to plan out filming in a cramped location

- How to communicate with an actor outside of the college course

- How to create a sense of environment through staged photographs placed in different locations throughout the film
